由戏剧创作者Star和影像创作者Elena共同开启的身体影像纪录剧场项目，旨在揭示隐藏在中国女性身体里的故事。通过故事采访，以镜头作为人物的眼睛，给此时此刻的身体以注视和观察，探讨作为孕育人类过去、现在和未来的女性，及其承载着时代变迁的身体，如何可持续地被记录。
Documentative Image and Theater Project initiated by theatrical creative Star and image creative Elena. Aim to uncover stories buried within the Chinese female body. Through interviews, using camera as a tool of the eye, When I Look At Myself offers a gaze and observation to the female body in the present moment, exploring how the female body, as the bearer of humanity's past, present, and future, and as a vessel of societal change, can be sustainably documented.

该项目起源于主创对自己进行身体记录的想法。在去掉所有修饰，观察经常被忽视或被过度关注的身体细节之后，她察觉到自身的身体观念受外部世界的影响与塑造，同时也对由身体而展现出的时代、历史变迁和日常生活的痕迹，体肤之下私历史与公共历史的交织产生了浓厚的兴趣。
我们希望引导女性将目光重新投向自身，破除主流价值观下由美与丑出发看待身体的单一视角，强调体肤之下蕴藏的深刻历史，通过对女性身体和身体故事的观察和记录，持续思考如何可持续地保存和呈现Herstory。
The project originated from the creator's idea of documenting their own body. After stripping away all embellishments and observing the often overlooked or excessively focused body details, she realized that her body perceptions were influenced and shaped by the external world. At the same time, she developed a strong interest in the traces of time, historical changes, and daily life revealed by the body, as well as the intertwining of personal history and public history beneath the skin.
We aim to redirect women's gaze towards themselves, to break away from the singular perspective of beauty and ugliness dictated by mainstream values. We emphasize the profound history hidden beneath the skin, continuously contemplating how to sustainably preserve and present Herstory through the observation and documentation of women's bodies and their stories.
